As part of the Packaging Design class, we were tasked with creating wine labels for three different price points and demographics. Low end wines, typically at the under $15 price point, are usually marketed to the 21-34 age range, and are characterized by clever names and daring design. Mid-range wines, typically cost anywhere from $15-50, and are marketed to the 35-49 age range. They are characterized by a more sophisticated design, having a more upmarket aura. And finally, high-end fine wines are typically at the $50+ price point, and are usually marketed to the 50+ age-range demographic. They are characterized by a classic look, sometimes including engraved illustrations, the use of premium label stock, and an aura of elegance and sophistication.
